Today, we will introduce the shochu "Gift from the Sea 2020" - sweet potato shochu - Oumi Shuzo
Sake brewed by the Touji of each year's brewery, Okai Shuzo in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture.
In 2019, we brewed it to bring out the characteristics of sweet potatoes to the fullest. The ingredients used were white malted rice and kogane sengan, and the standard distillation method was normal pressure distillation, but we increased the ratio of malted rice and fermented the unrefined sweet potato slowly at low temperature to bring out the aroma and flavor.
Rocks are recommended, but especially with hot water.
